In a market context where expectations for environmental performance, CSR transparency and alignment with climate objectives are high, Hygiène et Nature is actively pursuing its ecological transition approach.
It is within this framework that we today launched our first carbon footprint assessment at a kick-off meeting led by our CEO Guillaume Fiévet and intended for all H&N teams. This carbon footprint assessment will allow us to identify our main sources of emissions, areas for optimization, and to define an action plan. We will be supported throughout the project implementation by Sébastien Magnan in parternship with Bpifrance .

Hygiène et Nature already has a well-established CSR policy with certification LABEL PME+, an EcoVadis France silver medal and concrete actions that are part of this dynamic: Monitoring and reduction of energy consumption :
- Monitoring and reduction of energy consumption
- Reduction in plastic consumption
- Development of product ranges made from renewable raw materials
- Raising employee awareness of modes of transport and waste sorting
Our motivations
- Strengthening our CSR strategy and our image with customers and partners: A competitive advantage in an increasingly demanding market.
- Better understand the environmental impact of our activities: A precise view of our direct emissions (industrial processes, energy) and indirect emissions (suppliers, transport, end of life)
- Responding to and anticipating regulatory requirements: The chemical industry is heavily concerned with emission reduction and decarbonization policies.
- Reducing our operational costs: The resulting reduction actions must contribute to improving our economic performance (energy consumption, logistics flows, etc.).
Our expectations
- Identify the main sources of emissions: Have access to quantifiable data to prioritize the most effective actions.
- Define an action plan: Enable the building of a roadmap for reducing emissions in the short, medium and long term.
- Implement monitoring indicators: Measure the evolution of our emissions each year to guide our continuous improvement process.
- Engaging with our stakeholders: Serving as a support to communicate transparently with customers, suppliers, employees and authorities.
- Improving our competitiveness: Helping to reduce our energy costs and increase our attractiveness.
This carbon footprint assessment marks a new milestone for our company and for all our employees.
